Begin character development...

There are a total of 4 character that need designing in the storyboard. The main girl character, her monstrous alter-ego, and the two boys by the party poster in the school. I have started designing the girl taking some inspiration from my earlier thumb-nailing. I'm going to try to make her alter-ego have the same body dimensions too.

Final storyboard (shaded)

The shading and lighting has been added to the frames. Unless there's a few tweaks I can make to camera angles this is the final draft of the story board.

Final Line Storyboard

I stuck the storyboards all together, but now the lines have been redefined and all the camera actions are placed, so now all that is left is the shading.

Camera actions entered...

Now all I need for my storyboard is the shading and then it is finally complete...

Final Line Storyboard

Although I haven't finished the other 7 sets, this is what the final line drawing version of the storyboard will look like, with sharper bolder lines and the 'Action' section filled out.

Blow up the storyboard...

My storyboard is now twice as large as the original so now its got more structure, there have been a couple of changes.

Character Design

Although I've already drawn the girl I still need to look at how to design her as the one on the storyboard is not a final draft. I applied the same technique as I did in Narrative design, worked with shapes.

Room plan

Its seemed only logical if i had a plan of the bedroom as if i changed any camera angles i would need to know where everything is.

Storyboard third draft

There are still a couple of frames that tweaking and some that need blowing out into more. For example, the part where her fangs fall out needs to be spread out to 3 frames, showing the key frames of the reaction.

A little character design...

I felt like creating as couple of friendly and funny looking halloween creatures, here is my bat design:

Storyboard improved!

Taking my lecturers advised i fixed up my first draft and then drew it all on Photoshop.

New project: Halloween Party

For our new film project we are making an animation based on a poem about a school Halloween party (or more like the build up towards it). It requires a storyboard, and here is my first draft.
